Puppy Loved and Lost
The road to Pet Heaven is paved with the broken hearts of those who cared. The following is a true story that was written by my mom and bears a strong message that I would sincerely urge everyone to heed, and if you can find the time, share this piece with others as well. My 3yr old daughter and I only got a chance to meet this pup once while visiting for Halloween and could not help but cry when I read these following words last night. Read the rest of this entry »
Thought Shot 2 – Fun day!
So ‘Thought Shot’ is actually a silly thing I have done ever since I was in 7th grade and bored as hell in history class. It is a lot like a diary I suppose, consdiering I preffered small notebooks with pretty covers and used a special pen to write it with. Never mind that I am way too inconsistant to ever keep a real journal that would reveal my inner most self to people hundreds of years from now. lol Anyway, I would write whatever was on my mind be it so sappy they suck poems, teen dreams or just crazy, bitchy essays about my views on life or just whatever else was rattling around up there in that mind o’ mine. Generally I found some way to scrap the book after I realized how dumb the stuff in it was, wait a month or three, and then make a new one; wash, rinse and repeat as needed.
Mostly today I have been idlely thinking about the current happenings around my home, chatting with friends, and puzzling over my words and beads.
Yesterday was my 28th birthday in real life and my 18th birthday for my character in Renaissance Kingdoms. It was a wonderful day thanks to all my friends and family. My husband made a devil’s food and cheesecake swirled cake, as my birthday cake. My grandma fixed one of my favorite dinners and in general just spending time with everyone was a blast. In the game, it seemed like all my friends crawled out of the woodwork just to say “Hi!” and get my character as drunk as they possibly could! Even a few people I hadn’t met before that day were cheering me on. A couple of people, one of which was Kell, my in game brother and very close friend via msn, who went out of his way to help me buy my second field and bought me an in game item that boosts my strength stats.
The day almost came to a bad end, but with a prayer and an answer, everything turned out alright. You see, we live in the sticks and the road between our home and my folks is a paved snake with tons of unmarked deer crossings (as if anyone can predict where a few white tailed fence hoppers will cross a road!). Well, anyway, my husband and I were talking about how we needed to buy some whistles for the front of his new car this weekend. I guess we should have kept our mouths shut because on the last mile before entering city limits a couple of young deer hopped out in front of us. It seemed they were playing a game of road block. One took one lane and the other took ours . . . and neither of them intended on moving! Thankfully we didn’t hit them though. I managed to park the car about a foot from the deer’s legs. My husband started to get out of the car, but his movement was enough to spook the deer back into the woods. The other deer ran around behind us while I was trying to get the car to stop. I don’t think I have ever been more thankful that there were no vehicles behind us as I was just then.
Czara’s Song – Prologue
Tales of Mt. Meridias
The evening sun sets just as the first moon rises. The two seem almost to be peeking mischievously at each other through the valleys of the legendary Mt.Meridias. From out of the face of the sun, if one were to be looking, one would see a tall dark figure walking down the path. The person looks to be an elder of a man walking with a staff in hand and a slightly larger pack on his back than what one would think safe for someone of his age. All and all he looks to be your average stereo typical wizard with his long silvery beard and hair, enwisened light green eyes, and rune riddled (to those that can see such things) dark green traveling robes.
He pauses and smiles at the sight of an inn on the horizon. It’s been ages since he has stepped foot out on these lands and memories start flooding his mind. As he draws closer to the inn, he notes the huge batwing styled swinging doors and the sign that read “The Swinging Sword Inn.” The entrance seems big enough for even a giant to enter with ease. Of course, giants and the more well mannered ogres do still roam these mountains. The elder can’t help but wonder if he’ll meet her out here, as unlikely as it might seem. Thought Shot 1 – On the hunt . . .
For something new, be it inspiration, friends, art styles, or just a new blog and new look for said blog. lol I guess I am looking for a new way to get my methodical mess of a mind more organized. I have so many stories I am in the middle of writing that at times it really makes it hard to concentrate on my drawing and beading. I’m not fully sure what I will do with this blog, but for now it seems best to put my bits and scraps of stories up here as a way for me to keep track of them (and if I get lucky even find some extra help in proofreading. lol) I really have my work cut out for me, too.
Stories:
-
Czara’s Song (an “anything is possible’ fantasy that is only one of many stories in a collab with PenFury, listed under my ‘Deviant Friends’ to your right.)
-
Frosted Trails (a story of an extraordinary cat with a seemingly forced case of wanderlust)
-
Secret Admirer (a man watchiing his love from afar. Will he ever get the nerve up and ask her to be with him?)
-
The Fallen (a man reflecting on his broken life)
-
Crying Over Kindreds (a drama thriller involving poweers of empaths and pychics)
Others:
- 2 to 3 drawings I owe a friend.
- several more drawings that I owe to PenFury
- more beaded necklaces and flowers than I care to try to list.
And my muse seems to be working on over time to crank out even more crazy ideas. So please bear with me. I am sure my start will be choppy and slow at first, but with any luck this will help to motivate me and push me to actually finish the things that I start.
